Michael Radford's powerful adaptation of George Orwell's dystopian masterpiece. The pace drags a little but a very well done dystopian movie, with a faintest hope of the triumph of human resilience against a terrifying totalitarian state.

For a snapshot to where we are heading through Robama and his never-ending series of executive orders and disregard for the rule of law, watch 1984. John Hurt and Richard Burton are at their best in this great take on George Orwell's book.
