Pay Per Play movies are priced between NZ$4.99 and NZ$6.99. Each purchase allows you a 48 hour window during which you can play the movie an unlimited amount of times on one unique device. If you wish to watch the same Pay Per Play movie on a different device within the same 48 hour window, you will need to purchase the title again to play it on that device.
Pay Per Play movies are the same price regardless of whether you have a Quickflix Subscription package.
You will have 48 hours from the time of purchase to watch the movie as many times as you like on the same device.
You can check your purchase history and the dates for all viewing rights for your Pay Per Play movies under My Account.
No. Anyone in New Zealand can purchase a Quickflix Pay Per Play movie . All you need to do is join Quickflix as a Member, provide your payment details and you can be watching a movie instantly! Joining Quickflix is free and there are no commitments required to make any further Pay Per Play or Subscription purchases.
To get the most out of Quickflix streaming you will need a minimum connection speed of 1.5Mbps. To view high definition movies on Sony Bravia devices you will need a service that operates at a speed of at least 3.5Mbps.
The number of devices you have connected to your internet connection may also affect the speed of your broadband service. For optimal streaming performance please make sure you have closed any other interent connected devices or applications that may be using up bandwdith. The quality of your broadband service may also vary at different times of the day which is internet service provider dependent.
Note: If you are on a public Wi-Fi connection you may be prevented from streaming video content if the Wi-Fi connection has a firewall in place.
No. Quickflix is a streaming based service, so your viewing device has to be connected to the internet in order to stream and watch content.
Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, you may need to allow a few minutes for your movie to buffer before the title starts to play. Buffering is when your device is loading enough of the stream in advance so that you can enjoy continuous uninterrupted playback thereafter.
Check that the audio and picture settings on your TV or device are set correctly by trying to play some other video or audio content, then try to play the title again. Please also refer to the other questions and advice in this section in case these can address the problem.

Check your internet connection is still active. You can do this by opening an internet browser and entering a web address and/or checking that the lights on your router or modem are still on. We also suggest that you check other household members are not attempting to download large files which may affect your service.
Exit then restart the Quickflix service and attempt to play the title again or select another title. Please also refer to the other questions and advice in this section in case these can address the problem.

To watch high definition content you will need a minimum connection speed of 3.5Mbps. The quality of your broadband service may vary at different times of day which is dependent on your Internet service provider. For the best Quickflix viewing experience, we suggest that you limit the number of other devices using your internet connection.
If you have a Quickflix subscription you can stream Movies & TV Shows on up to 5 different unique devices (PCs, Macs, Connected TVs, Tablet & Mobile devices) and on up to 3 devices simultaneously.
Each new device will automatically be registered on your quickflix account when you first stream a Movie or TV show from it. If you have reached your limit of 5 unique devices, you will need to deregister an existing device before you can register another device. To manage your device registrations head to the My Account section of the Quickflix website and select the Manage My Devices tab.
A unique device may be registered and deregistered at will. If a device has been registered to two different Quickflix accounts within the previous 12 months, it cannot be registered to another account. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further information.
For Sony Bravia devices you will also need to de-register your device with Sony on the Sony website: http://internet.sony.tv/Quickflix. Detailed instructions can be found in the Sony Bravia User Guide at the bottom of this page.

Microsoft Silverlight is a free web media player that enables to you access rich internet applications and media such as Quickflix streaming.
To stream quickflix Movies & TV Shows you will need to install Microsfot Silverlight to your PC or Mac. All you have to do is select your first title and we'll do the rest for you. If you've already installed Silverlight, we'll do a quick check and ensure you have the latest version before playback commences.
To get the best playback experience it's important that you close all other applications whilst streaming titles, and ensure you only have one stream playing at a time.

For the best performance on a PC we recommend Internet Explorer 8 (or above) or Chrome 4 (or above). For Mac users, we recommend using Safari (4 or above) or Chrome (5 or above) browsers. You may experience difficulties using Silverlight via the Firefox Browser
If you are using the Silverlight player with a Firefox browser for the first time you may experience some performance issues with trying to view movies in the full-screen mode.
This is a known issue and we have developed a workaround to enable you to watch streaming titles full-screen from Firefox:

Yes you can. All you need is a suitable cable (we recommend HDMI as it will carry both video and audio) and then plug one end into your computer and the other end into your TV, select the HDMI input on your TV and you’re ready to go!
If you don’t have an HDMI cable (or HDMI ports on both your computer and TV) you can use other cables but that means you will also need to connect up your audio separately.

Once you have entered your Quickflix Account details once they will be associated with your Xbox profile and you will not need to re-enter them the next time you use the Quickflix App with the same Xbox profile.
If you wish to Sign Out of the Xbox App you can do so at any point from the Settings menu.
Yes, Kinect works with Quickflix. You will be able to search, play, pause, fast-forward and rewind faster by using your voice or by hand gestures.

There are two Parental Control systems that co-exist on the Xbox.
Xbox Family Settings
If you use the Xbox Family Settings to control which movies and TV shows can be watched through Xbox LIVE, the Quickflix app will follow these settings. For example, if you prohibit watching of TV-MA-rated programs on your console, those programs will be marked with a "restricted video" icon in the Quickflix app. To play a locked item, an adult must enter the Family Settings pass code.
Quickflix Parental Controls
If you have activated the Quickflix Parental Control system via the Quickflix website, the Xbox App will require you to enter your Quickflix Parental Control PIN.
If you have both systems activated you will be required to enter two PINs for restricted content. If your PINs are different for the Xbox and Quickflix systems, be sure to enter the correct PIN in the corresponding fields.
You will require an Xbox LIVE gold membership in order to access and downlaod the Quickflix App.

Select the Quickflix logo from the cross media bar on your Playstation to open up the Quickflix Playstation application.
You will need to download the Quickflix app from the Apple App store. To find the app, enter Quickflix into the search field of the App store and download the app for free of charge.
No. Our obligations with regards to copy protection prevents this functionality.
This functionality is native to these Apple devices. To resume the title once you have removed your headphones, tap the screen to present the player controls and press the play button.
Check your internet connection is still active. You can do this by opening a browser on your iPhone or iPad and attempt to access a different website. If you are using WiFi, we also suggest that you check other household members are not attempting to download large files which may impact your service.
If you are experiencing difficulties with the App, we suggest you undertake a hard reset of your iPhone or iPad. To do this press and hold the power button until you see the Power Off option on the device screen. If that doesn’t work, we recommend you follow the steps below:
1. Close the app.
2. Double-click the home button which should show the multi-tasking shelf.
3. Locate the Quickflix app icon and hold your finger on it until the 'X' appears and close it.
4. Close the multi-tasking shelf by double-clicking the home button again.
5. Go to Settings and put the device into 'airplane mode'. Then retrun back to connected mode.
6. Relaunch the app and try to stream again.
To access Quickflix on Sony Bravia devices, you’ll need to register your device via Sony first:
Step 1:
Using your PC or MAC open a browser and head to http://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com
Step 2:
Create or Sign-In to your Sony Account.
Step 3:
From the Home tab, click 'Activate a Device' and follow the instructions to register your Sony device to your Sony Account. If you have already activated your device proceed to Step 4 below.
Step 4:
From the Home tab, click on the 'Manage Premium Services' link and then select Quickflix from the list of Premium services and click on the 'Enable Service' button.
Step 5:
You will then be redirected to the Quickflix website; follow the instructions to either link your existing Quickflix Account to your Sony device or set-up a brand new Quickflix Account. This process will complete the registration of your Sony device and you will be able to start streaming Quickflix content on your device.
Firstly, ensure your device is connected to the internet either with a LAN cable or wirelessly (depending on the Sony device you have a Sony dongle (Wireless USB drive) may be required to connect wirelessly). You will also need to connect your Sony Bravia Blu-ray player to your TV using an HDMI cable or other means (please refer to the manual for your TV for further information).

You will need a compatible Panasonic Viera TV to access the Quickflix service.
Ensure your TV is connected to the Internet and press the Viera Tools button (green button) on your remote control. Select VIERA CAST or VIERA CONNECT – if Quickflix is available on your device you will see the Quickflix logo in one of the tiles on your TV screen; click on the tile to launch the Quickflix application.
Quickflix is available on all 2010 - 2012 model Samsung TVs, Blu-rays and Home Theatre Systems featuring the Samsung SmartHub.
To access Quickflix ensure your device is connected to the Internet and press the Smart Hub button on your remote control:
On compatible 2010 - 2012 devices, the Quickflix Application may be pre-loaded on the SmartHub, so simply select the Quickflix logo to launch the application. Yes you can. Simply sign-in to your Quickflix account and go to the My Account section of the website. On the Manage Sharing tab you will have the option to connect your Quickflix account to your Facebook account and you can then choose whether you want to automatically post certain events and actions to your Facebook feed, such as when you watch a Movie or write a review.
You can automate sharing your Quickflix activity on your Twitter, Windows Live or Google+ accounts using the same method outlined above.
You can rate or add reviews for any of the movies or TV shows available on Quickflix via the Quickflix website. Simply click on the number of stars you wish to give a title anywhere you see them on the website. You can also add a detailed review on the home page for each title.
If you are writing a review, please take care to not include any comments that could be considered inappropriate or discriminatory.
By rating titles you’ve seen it enables us to make better recommendations for titles you might like to see next. The more you rate the more we know about your likes and dislikes and the better our recommendations become. Your ratings also help us to recommend great titles to other members.

Quickflix uses first class encryption software (known as 128 bit SSL technology) to encrypt your payment details.
If you have taken up a Quickflix subscription you first subscription payment will be charged on the day you subscribe or if you have taken up a special promotional offer that gives you a free trial period, your first payment will be due at the end of the trial period.
Subsequent payments are then due every month. Your bank statement will show our merchant trading name - Quickflix - and the monthly charge.
You may view your transaction history under the My Account section of the website by clicking on the Payment Details link. If you are still concerned that you have been incorrectly charged, you may either email or call the Member Care team.
Quickflix will store your payment details on its secure servers. By setting-up a Payment PIN any future Pay Per Play purchases can be made quickly, easily and securely by just adding your 4-digit PIN rather than having to enter your complete details again.
Yes, you can change your Payment PIN and Payment details at anytime under the Payment Details section of My Account.
If you have forgotten your Payment PIN we will need you to re-enter your Payment Details for security reasons after which you will be prompted to set-up a new Payment PIN. You can do this at anytime under the Payment Details section of My Account.
If you take up a Quickflix subscription there is a one-off Joining Fee charge of $5.00. This charge is added to your first monthly subscription payment.
The Joining Fee is not charged for Pay Per Play purchases.
To cancel your subscription please call our Member Care Team. Your monthly subscription charge will not be refunded of part refunded if you choose to cancel part way through a billing period.
Yes. You will use up some of your broadband allowance when you stream a Pay Per Play movie. Your broadband allowance is simply a limit on the amount of data that can be transferred over your broadband connection. Any internet use counts towards your total broadband usage. If you are near your limit, you should check with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) how much of your allowance is remaining before watching a movie. Please note that some ISPs zero rate Quickflix, in which case any data you use streaming Quickflix will not count towards your monthly allowance. Please check with your ISP for further details.
As a guide, each standard definition Pay Per Play movie will use between 0.8GB and 1.5GB of your broadband allowance. Broadband charges are your responsibility. To assist you, we publish the actual file sizes of our Pay Per Play movies on most of our platforms.
Also, please be aware mobile broadband services have fluctuating performance that may affect the quality of your playback.

If subtitles have been provided by the studio, we will provide them as part of our service. We are also working with the studios to provide Closed Captioning and will be launching this service in the very near future.
Problems signing in or using the Quickflix website are usually because you need to delete your cookies and/or add Quickflix to your trusted sites list.
What is a Cookie?
A cookie is a file created by an Internet site to store information on your computer, such as your preferences when visiting that site. When you visit a site that uses cookies, the site might ask your browser to place one or more cookies on your hard drive.
What are Trusted Sites?
Trusted sites are sites you have specifically indicated to be ones that you trust not to damage your computer or information. The security level for trusted sites is set to medium (but you can change it to any level).
The instructions to delete cookies and/or add Quickflix to your trusted sites will vary depending on the browser you are using. Please use your browser’s Help to get the instructions on how to do this.
