The pace drags a little but a very well done dystopian movie, with a faintest hope of the triumph of human resilience against a terrifying totalitarian state.

Some brutal scenes but quite a bit of dark humour. Nicely paced, great direction and acting although the ending was a little implausible.

Some good action, and beautiful scenery. Be prepared for some old school sexism and homophobia though; this movie has dated rather badly.

A bit silly. I didn't watch it all.
A story of the down to earth lives of villages in rural Romania, very human, with a tragic ending.

The quintessential dystopian SF movie, hasn't aged too badly since the early 70s although the chrome-faced CHiPs robots look a bit retro-futurist. Worth a watch if you like SF.

Still better than the sequels (in which Snipes' character becomes steadily more obnoxiously full of himself). The 90s-era CGI effects and one-by-one martial arts battles are noticeably dated but some good action.

A harrowing tale, fortunately redeemed somewhat by the ending.

Despite the trailer, this movie is actually the 1973 remake!
